ActiFolic CBD Isolate Powder
What is the difference between CBD isolate and full spectrum CBD?
CBD isolate and full spectrum CBD are both derived from hemp plants. To fall into the hemp category, a cannabis plant must not contain more than 0.3% THC. The big difference for the end product is in the extraction process used to extract CBD from the hemp plant. The method of extraction determines whether the final product is an isolate or full spectrum CBD.
Full spectrum CBD is an extraction from the whole plant. It therefore contains numerous other cannabinoids and terpenes in addition to CBD. For example, full spectrum CBD often contains CBG, CBN and CBC. In addition, it usually also contains various flavonoids. By comparison, CBD isolate contains only pure molecular cannabidiol.
CBD isolate is the purest form of CBD available. The extraction and filtration processes remove all other cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids and plant materials. Once all that is removed, the final product is a crystalline powder consisting of 99% pure CBD. Our CBD Isolate does not contain THC.
CBD has many medical applications. For example CBD may be beneficial for insomnia, anxiety, chronic pain and even chronic inflammation.
