What is Pyrilutamide?

Pyrilutamide (KX-826), often used as a pyrilutamide solution, is a nonsteroidal anti androgen, or more specifically, a selective high-affinity silent antagonist of the androgen receptor, which is researched now for the potential treatment of androgenetic alopecia in males and females. Pyrilutamide binds to the androgen receptor with a very high affinity with an IC50 of 0.28nM.

Pyrilutamide has very similar properties as RU58841, but it is a way more refined and stronger version. Pyrilutamide is a very well tolerable, with very few systemic side effects. From anecdotal and indoor research, there were no significant side effects to note with dosages up to 5 mg per day, whilst hair loss was significantly reduced within the first week. This makes a huge promise for the treatment of androgenic alopecia, and specifically diffuse androgenic alopecia, which is a very hard to treat form of androgenic alopecia. Both RU58841 and pyrilutamide are very effective chemicals to stop hair loss from androgenic alopecia. As with everything, there is no one-size-fits all solution for androgenic alopecia, but pyrilutamide comes very close to this.

If you struggle with a burning and itchy sensation on your scalp, we really recommend to add our new product to your regimen: ActiFolic CALM

Q: What Are Essential Oils?

A: Essential oils are proven to help against hair loss. Our solutions that are enriched with essential oils, will increase circulation in the scalp similar to the effects of Minoxidil, but without a shedding phase and other Minoxidil related side effects. Our solution contain peppermint oil, tea tree oil and lavender oil. These essential oils alone work great for reducing hair loss and reduce scalp inflammation. The combined oils make a synergic effect, that will calm down the inflamed scalp, increase circulation and stimulate hair follicles.  When applied, the scalp will immediately feel calmed down, due to the cooling and inflammation reducing effect of essential oils.

Q: What is OctoPirox (Piroctone Olamine)?

A: OctoPirox, also known as piroctone olamine, is a chemical very much related to ketoconazole. It has proven its efficacy in various studies

Compared to ketoconazole, Piroctone Olamine increases the number of hairs in the growth phase (anagen phase) by more than 10% in 33% more people.

Q: In what vehicle is the pyrilutamide dissolved?

A: It’s dissolved in ethanol/propylene glycol

Q: I need to cover my full scalp, but I can’t get it done with 1 ml (5mg).

A: We recommend to dilute the solution. So add 30 ml Ethanol/PG solution to your 0.5% pyrilutamide 30 ml solution. This will make a 60 ml pyrilutamide solution at 0.25% strength. For convenience, we recommend this 60 ml mixing bottle. Using 2 ml of the 0.25% strength should be enough to cover the full scalp, which is a total daily dose of 5 mg, which was used in the research papers.

MinoxidilMax sells pyrilutamide and they say it must be refrigerated, but you say it shouldn’t be refrigerated.

There is no need to refrigerate the pyrilutamide solution. Store at room temperature, out of direct sunlight. Refrigerating the solution will possibly make the solution unstable due to temperature changes every day with taking the bottle out of the fridge and back. If you want to store pyrilutamide for an extended time, we recommend to go with the raw powder and store it in the freezer at -20 Celsius degrees. The solution is easily stable for up to 12 months and even more in room temperature.

Hello, in the studies the 0.5% strength was used with 2 ml per day. It depends on the severity of the situation. We would personally recommend the 1% strength.

Hi, can you confirm if indeed one press is 0.3ml? As I heard people commenting otherwise.

The whole dropper is then 1ml correct?

By the way, congratulations in having one of the few legit pyri in the research market right now. This shit DEFINETELY works.

    Hello,

How many mls do you need to add to the scalp for each application? And is an application of twice a day recommended?

Do the mls that you need to add to your scalp vary if the concentration is 0.5, 1 or 1.5%?

    Thank you

From our indoor experience and research, we feel pyrilutamide is way stronger, more effective and has a very low chance for side effects. We haven’t noted any side effects keeping the dosage below 5 mg daily.

A great product and, from my research, 0.5% demonstrates significant improvement in follicle counts and follicle width. Pyrilutamide has a very clear and understandable mechanism of action and in the dosage of 0.5% has negligible systemic leakage beyond the target site. From my research thus far, my hypothesis is that Pyrilutamide can serve as a great potential auxiliary treatment modality for hereditary male androgenetic alopecia, alongside (topical) finasteride and minoxidil. Thanks again Actifolic for offering this product

    Hey ActiFolic,
first of all thank you for bringing this product to the research market. I also see that you posted purity test results.
I would like to know if you test every new batch for purity or did you just test it once?
    Thanks!

Is it okay to buy the 0.5%+oil and mix it with Ethanol/PG solution? Would it hurt the oils?

Yes you can mix them, but keep in mind the concentration of the essential oils will be lower, but it won’t affect the oils’ effectiveness.

Can I take Pyrilutamide 0,5 % with 1 ml one time per day? For example in the evening. In the Morning I would take Minoxidil or Finasterid topic. Which combination with Pyrilutamide is the best.

It’s best to let the minoxidil dry first.
