Introduction to Pyrilutamide (KX-826)
Pyrilutamide, also known as KX-826, is a stronger and more refined version of RU58841, known for its similar properties. With minimal systemic side effects, Pyrilutamide has been well tolerated in anecdotal and indoor research, with no significant side effects noted in doses up to 5 mg per day.
Effectiveness in Treating Androgenic Alopecia
This makes Pyrilutamide a promising solution for the treatment of androgenic alopecia, especially for the difficult-to-treat form of diffuse androgenic alopecia. Both RU58841 and Pyrilutamide have been effective in reducing hair loss from androgenic alopecia. However, there is no one-size-fits-all solution for androgenic alopecia, but Pyrilutamide comes close.
Safety and Tolerability
From the available data, Pyrilutamide has shown to be well tolerated with very few side effects. This makes it a potential solution for individuals seeking to reduce hair loss from androgenic alopecia.
Q&A
Q: In what solution is Pyrilutamide dissolved?
A: Pyrilutamide is dissolved in a mixture of ethanol and propylene glycol.
Q: I need to cover my entire scalp, but 1 ml (5mg) is not enough. What should I do?
A: To make it sufficient to cover your entire scalp, you can dilute the solution by mixing 30 ml of ethanol/propylene glycol solution with your 30 ml 0.5% Pyrilutamide solution, which will create a 60 ml Pyrilutamide solution at 0.25% strength. For convenience, we suggest using a 60 ml mixing bottle. Based on research papers, using 2 ml of the 0.25% solution should be enough to cover the full scalp and provide a total daily dose of 5 mg.
Ingredients
Each normal solution is without the added ingredients. We have different variations, which have a unique formula of ingredients you can choose of. We understand not everyone has knowledge about all ingredients, that’s why we explain the additional ingredients here below (depending on variation):
Essential Oils:
Essential oils have been proven to combat hair loss. Our solutions, which are enriched with essential oils, can enhance scalp circulation, similar to the effects of Minoxidil, without causing a shedding phase or other side effects associated with Minoxidil. Our solution contains peppermint oil, tea tree oil, and lavender oil. These essential oils are effective in reducing hair loss and decreasing scalp inflammation on their own, and when combined, they produce a synergistic effect. The combined oils calm the inflamed scalp, improve circulation, and stimulate hair follicles. Upon application, the scalp will feel instantly soothed due to the cooling and anti-inflammatory properties of the essential oils.
OctoPirox (Piroctone Olamine):
OctoPirox, also known as piroctone olamine, is a chemical closely related to ketoconazole. Its efficacy has been proven in various studies. In the piroctone olamine group, hair loss decreased by 16.5% (compared to 17.3% for ketoconazole), hair thickness increased by 7.9% (4.9% for ketoconazole), and hair diameter increased by 7.7% (compared to 5.4% for ketoconazole). Piroctone olamine removes excess sebum from the scalp, which contains trapped hormones (DHT) and dirt that contribute to hair loss. Piroctone olamine also has DHT-inhibiting effects similar to ketoconazole.
Niacinamide (Vitamin B3):
Niacinamide, also known as Vitamin B3, promotes hair health by increasing blood flow to the scalp and creating a healthy environment for hair growth. It also strengthens hair shafts to prevent breakage and reduce the likelihood of hair loss.
Biotin (Vitamin B7):
Biotin, also known as Vitamin B7, is a water-soluble vitamin that plays a role in fatty acid metabolism and protein synthesis. It is commonly marketed as a supplement to improve the health of skin, nails, and hair. In terms of hair loss, biotin helps the body produce keratin, a structural protein that makes up the main component of hair. By providing the body with adequate levels of biotin, it can improve the strength and overall health of hair, reducing the risk of breakage and hair loss.
Caffeine:
Caffeine is a stimulant believed to enhance hair health by stimulating hair follicles and promoting hair growth. It works by blocking the inhibitory effects of adenosine, a molecule that regulates hair growth, and increasing the production of hormones that support hair growth. When applied topically, caffeine also has mild 5AR-inhibiting properties.

MinoxidilMax sells pyrilutamide and they say it must be refrigerated, but you say it shouldn’t be refrigerated.

There is no need to refrigerate the pyrilutamide solution. Store at room temperature, out of direct sunlight. Refrigerating the solution will possibly make the solution unstable due to temperature changes every day with taking the bottle out of the fridge and back. If you want to store pyrilutamide for an extended time, we recommend to go with the raw powder and store it in the freezer at -20 Celsius degrees. The solution is easily stable for up to 12 months and even more in room temperature.

Hello
Which strength is recommended?
actifolic
September 12, 2022 at 10:08 am
Hello, in the studies the 0.5% strength was used with 2 ml per day. It depends on the severity of the situation. We would personally recommend the 1% strength.

Hi, can you confirm if indeed one press is 0.3ml? As I heard people commenting otherwise.
The whole dropper is then 1ml correct?
By the way, congratulations in having one of the few legit pyri in the research market right now. This shit DEFINETELY works.

Hello,
How many mls do you need to add to the scalp for each application? And is an application of twice a day recommended?
Do the mls that you need to add to your scalp vary if the concentration is 0.5, 1 or 1.5%?
Thank you

From our indoor experience and research, we feel pyrilutamide is way stronger, more effective and has a very low chance for side effects. We haven’t noted any side effects keeping the dosage below 5 mg daily.

A great product and, from my research, 0.5% demonstrates significant improvement in follicle counts and follicle width. Pyrilutamide has a very clear and understandable mechanism of action and in the dosage of 0.5% has negligible systemic leakage beyond the target site. From my research thus far, my hypothesis is that Pyrilutamide can serve as a great potential auxiliary treatment modality for hereditary male androgenetic alopecia, alongside (topical) finasteride and minoxidil. Thanks again Actifolic for offering this product

Hey ActiFolic,
first of all thank you for bringing this product to the research market. I also see that you posted purity test results.
I would like to know if you test every new batch for purity or did you just test it once?
Thanks!

Hi Adam, you’re most welcome. We test every new batch on purity, which is a standard procedure in the production process.

Is it okay to buy the 0.5%+oil and mix it with Ethanol/PG solution? Would it hurt the oils?
actifolic
November 2, 2022 at 10:37 am
Yes you can mix them, but keep in mind the concentration of the essential oils will be lower, but it won’t affect the oils’ effectiveness.

Can I take Pyrilutamide 0,5 % with 1 ml one time per day? For example in the evening. In the Morning I would take Minoxidil or Finasterid topic. Which combination with Pyrilutamide is the best.

It’s best to let the minoxidil dry first.

Just wanted to drop a comment to tell you that it works and quality is good so far. I have even better results than I had with finasteride (which I dropped long time ago due to sides). With pyrilutamide I do not notice any side effects so far. This January I tried RU58841 but it was not effective for my hair, I still had itch and shedding. Pyrilutamide completely stopped my shedding and scalp itching and I am having great regrowth even in my bald temples. The important thing for me is to apply it twice a day instead of once (0.5%, 0.5ml morning, 0.5ml evening). So thank you acticfolic, hopefully the good quality of your products will remain in the future!

Is this solution greasy at all? I use the minoxidil foam because it dries nicely and is not greasy. Id like to apply this after the minoxidil dries, but I’m hoping that this is non-greasy as well. Thanks!

I use Pyrilutamide since two Werks. Pyrilutamide dries pretty fast. Can apply Pyrilutamide first and then apply a minoxidil solution? How long should I wait to apply Minoxidil?

I’m allergic against finasteride and minoxidil. This is my solution, I take 0,5% kx826 without any other ingredients, it has no side affects at all.
I take it in the morning, 10 minutes after ninoxidil and fabao 101 D.
I take it in the evening, 10 minutes after ninoxidil.
Great results.
Thank you for bringing it to the market!!!!!

Hi. Been using your Pyrilutamide 0.5% for about 2 months now at 1.5ml every day but I would like to up the dosage to 2-3ml every day. Will this product get any cheaper if yes how long will it take?
